Pregnancy is the period from conception, fertilization of an ovum with a sperm, to birth when a woman carries a developing fetus in her uterus for approximately 9 months. It is an exceptional time in a woman’s life.  It is associated with a diversity of physiologic, anatomic, hormonal and emotional changes that influence the woman’s body and subsequently the way of providing oral health care.
